Privacy during delivery is one of the top concerns for first-time buyers, right alongside price and material. Most established sellers have this figured out well, but it’s worth knowing exactly what to expect so nothing catches you off guard on delivery day.

What the box actually looks like
Reputable sellers ship in a plain, unmarked cardboard box with no product photos, no explicit branding, and a generic company name on the shipping label and the return address. The paperwork inside, invoices and customs declarations, typically lists a neutral description like “silicone model” or “mannequin,” which is standard practice across this category rather than something to be suspicious of.
What shows up on your card or bank statement
Most sellers bill under a generic holding-company name rather than the store’s public brand name. If discretion matters to you, check this specifically before ordering — it’s usually listed on the site’s FAQ or checkout page, and it’s a reasonable thing to email support about if you can’t find it.
Delivery-day logistics
- Size. A full-body doll ships in a box roughly the size of a large suitcase or a golf bag case — it’s not small, and it’s heavy enough that carrying it upstairs alone can be a two-trip job.
- Signature. Depending on the carrier and the order value, a signature may be required, which means someone needs to be home or you’ll need to arrange pickup at a depot.
- Timing. International orders can clear customs unpredictably. Domestic orders are more consistent but still worth tracking rather than assuming a fixed delivery window.
What to check before you order
If privacy is a real concern, look for three things before checking out: a stated discreet-packaging policy, a generic billing name you can confirm in advance, and a realistic delivery window so you can plan to be home. Sellers that are upfront about all three on their site tend to be the more reliable ones in general, since it reflects a business that has actually thought through the buying experience rather than treated it as an afterthought.
